Aita Semea

The Duo Aita Semea explores the resonance of the strings of the guitar and the double bass in a multitude of spaces. The Duo has its musical roots in the play of nursery rhymes, songs and dances of the world in the streets of Bayonne. It goes on to discover the songs of northern Italy and tells the adventures of Pinocchio in the theater.

The two instruments sing the nostalgic thoughts of Astor Piazzolla's tango. They play Spain with Enrique Granados and Manuel de Falla, Italy with Mauro Giuliani and Nicolo Paganini.

The Duo develops the poetry of sounds with Franz Schubert's Arpeggione in the intimacy of resonance. It transforms Maurice Ravel's fairytale world into the transparent space of harmonies.
